Rob Cravaritis leads our Advertising Division and oversees all revenue and strategy related to print, online, direct mail, and event marketing. A 21-year industry veteran with extensive experience in advertising sales and business development, he joined the Sun Sentinel Media Group in July 2016.
Rob came to the Sun Sentinel from Hearst-owned Houston Chronicle Media Group where, as Executive Vice President of Sales, he oversaw multi-media advertising sales of local retail and all of the classified categories. He also successfully led revenue-generating strategies, growing market share while leveraging an extensive digital product suite. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Recruitment Advertising and Marketplaces for Hearst’s Texas newspapers. He has also held management and business development positions at CareerBuilder, Dex Media, Verizon Information Services and AOL.
DIRECTOR OF MAJOR RETAIL ADVERTISING & TARGETED STRATEGIES
Doug Scroggin is the Sun Sentinel Company's Director of Major Advertising and Targeted Strategies, responsible for the categories of department stores, furniture, telecommunications, financial, package goods, high tech, travel, automotive, real estate, recruitment and El Sentinel advertising. In Addition, he oversees the South Florida operation for Tribune Direct, our database and direct mail business, as well as City & Shore magazine.
During his over 25-year career with the newspaper, Doug has served in various sales positions, including Retail Sales Manager for South Palm and Greater Fort Lauderdale and National Sales Manager, prior to his current role.
GENERAL MANAGER / DIRECTOR OF RETAIL ADVERTISING
Rick Robinson leads Sun Sentinel Media Group’s Forum Publishing Group (FPG), the largest publisher of community papers in Florida and is Director of Local Retail – West Office. Rick is a 24-year veteran of advertising sales and business development, he joined Sun Sentinel in October 2016.
Rick came to the Sun Sentinel from Greensheet Media where, as Vice President of Sales, he oversaw all of advertising, sales training and digital ad operations. Previously, Rick was Executive Director of Digital Sales for Hearst’s Houston Chronicle Media Group, overseeing the core digital and digital marketing services teams for the advertising division. Before joining Hearst, he was a General Manager for AT&T Advertising Solutions and held leadership positions at Dex Media, Southwestern Bell and Pacific Bell Directories. Prior to his career in media, Rick proudly served in the Air Force and Air National Guard.
DIRECTOR OF LOCAL AND DIGITAL ADVERTISING
Jim Miller has over 20 years of experience leading local sales teams, 14 of them in digital marketing and technologies. Prior to joining the Sun Sentinel in March 2017, Jim was a digital sales leader at the San Antonio Express-News, a Hearst-owned property. Before Hearst, Jim helped drive the digital transformation for the Orlando Sentinel and Sun Sentinel. Prior to his time in the newspaper business, Miller led the first Southeast local outside Sales team for Monster.com, three Aerotek offices and owned an search engine marketing company.
DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL OPERATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT
Jenifer Sacks is the Director of Digital Operations and Development for Sun Sentinel’s Advertising Division. She oversees digital sales planning and digital services fulfillment for Sun Sentinel’s clients. Over the past 17 years, Jenifer has held multiple leadership positions at the Company, most recently, serving as Florida Digital Operations Manager for tronc, Sun Sentinel Media Group’s parent company, for three years. As Digital Operations Manager, she was responsible for evaluating digital trends and metrics to facilitate product development, identify new digital revenue opportunities and manage third party relationships. Previously at the Sun Sentinel, Sacks led high-level, strategic initiatives for its Digital Division, including the launch of SouthFlorida.com, the rollout of Florida’s eCommerce sites and the management of revenue-generating vendor partnerships. Prior to her digital responsibilities, Sacks spent time in advertising and in consumer marketing.
